“Say my name, say my name…”

Personalization is a great way to engage users in your email campaigns (and if you know me just a bit, you already know how much I advocate for email marketing).

You can add personal touches to both your subject lines and the body of your emails.

But while most companies just use personalization to greet the recipient by name, you can go a step further and make the whole email feel like a personal conversation.

Keep in mind that personalization isn’t just about using first names; you can also include details like titles (Mr., Ms, Dr., etc.) and company names.

The example in the video is from Motley Fool (fool.com), where they mention the recipient’s name five times.

Personalization is a great way to engage users in your email campaign. You can incorporate it into both your subject line and body copy. While most companies use personalization merely to greet the person, you can take a more tailored approach to make recipients feel like you are speaking directly to them throughout the email. Keep in mind, personalization is not limited to using the first name; you can also include other personal references, such as titles (Mr., Miss, Mrs., etc.) and company names.
