It’s been a hard year.
At the end of 2023, I decided to be very intentional about how to split my time in 2024 between the new venture and everything else I was doing.
And so I did.
But as with any business – especially a new one – pretty much nothing went my way.
Delayed timelines, falling behind on KPIs, dishonest collaborators, and unexpected expenses are just a taste of what we went through this year.
And, like everyone else on this planet, I had a lot going on personally. You know the saying, “Don’t judge anyone on the surface; you never know what they’re going through”? It’s always the case.
Yet, I’m finishing the year with much anticipation for 2025.
Part of that comes from recognizing that, while things could have been better, they most definitely could have been worse. And at my core, I’m an eternal optimist-positive being.
I’m sharing this because there’s so much fluff online that I’m sure at least some of you need to hear that it was hard for others too. But I also want to remind myself (and maybe you too): everything that looks like a mountain and feels hard to climb now will be yesterday’s peak a year or two from now.
Happy New Year 2025.
