I’m back…

Back in August, I shared how we went from 4 to 8 properties in just one month. It felt like jumping on a moving train – fast, exciting, and just a little overwhelming. By the end of the year, we could feel the weight of that growth. Systems were stretched, energy was tested, and for a while, it felt like we were running just to keep up.

But we kept going – and now, things are starting to take shape.

Today, our portfolio includes 12 properties across 4 cities in the UK, and we’ve hosted over 1,400 stays. Our Airbnb profile has nearly 600 five-star reviews, and finally, the business feels like it has its own rhythm. There are still long days and tight turnarounds, but there’s also more stability, more flow, and a clearer sense of where we’re heading.

A defining moment this year: I was selected as an Airbnb Community Leader for London. Only three of us (voluntarily) represent the city, and just over 40 across the entire UK hold this title. Being acknowledged by a company of that scale is genuinely humbling.

Some of you asked where I’ve been on social (thanks for noticing — you’re the best!). I’ve been busy on a platform that’s social… just not quite like THE social yet.

Yes, I still run digital marketing campaigns in the background, and many of those skills carried over into building visibility for the business. Especially when it comes to guest communication – I haven’t met most of our (amazing!) guests in person. But tone, timing, and clarity go a long way in standing out in a competitive space where trust and experience make a difference.

Now, 21 months in, we’re starting to see the results:
– Healthy cash flow
– High occupancy
– Nightly rates are still climbing but moving steadily in the right direction

And just last Saturday, together with my fellow community leaders, I hosted our first London Airbnb host meetup of the year. We put together a panel, brought in games and swag, and created space for real conversations – all in a beautiful Battersea venue that took coordination, care, and a bit of ambition to pull off.

I’m now back (here too:)).

More soon.
