It’s going to be hybrid

I see many people are wondering about this – so allow me to spoil this for you 😊

In January 2015, when Corona was just a beer and before Zoom became a household name, we founded our company and decided to work in a hybrid model: work from home combined with work from office.

1st stage was 1 weekly WFH day and leaving the office early to finish off at home (and avoid traffic jams).

2nd stage was an increase to 2 WFH days and the same as above about leaving early.

3rd stage happened after the lockdown. We asked our team what they wanted and gave them full freedom to decide, including 5 days WFH. They chose 3 days a week of WFH.

All of them have a key to the office so if they have internet issues at home or just feel like coming to the office (and you’d be surprised – they do!), they just show up.

I think what I’m trying to say is that, like most things in life, people need balance. Now it’s just up to the managers to not let bad habits die hard and experiment with it.

Thank you for being here!
