Maybe it’s because on the internet everything moves fast or “everything is free” but,
I find that companies don’t proofread their texts enough (as if – I’m sure they’re spending so much more time reviewing their billboard wording than their online content) and that results in mistakes. A lot of them.
Don’t get me wrong – I’m fully aware of the challenge of creating so much content for online and mistakes do happen but here’s a quick-mega-useful hack to reduce them:
Read your text out loud.
You’ll hear the mistakes, bad structure and things that just don’t sound right/convincing enough.
It will save you a lot of embarrassment or better yet – upgrade your texts.
