It’s the last day of the (Jewish) year, and I thought I’d share something I’ve been doing since the beginning of the (Gregorian) year that might be useful.
Every Sunday evening, I sit for about 15-25 minutes with notifications off, open my calendars, and look at the week that just finished. I write a short summary of what I’ve done, followed by accomplishments, lessons learned, areas for growth, and intentions for the upcoming week.
It gives me a lot of clarity (sometimes the week’s over and I have no idea what I’ve actually done or how it flew by), makes me recognise both achievements and areas where I can improve, and helps me focus on what matters in the week ahead.
Since the end of 2023, I’ve also been doing more personal and intuitive writing, which has been invaluable for clarity, decision-making, seeing the bigger picture, and reflecting.
It’s a small practice, but it’s been making a big difference for me – maybe it can for you too.
I truly hope this year will be more peaceful for the world, and that for you, to enjoy the ride.
Shana Tova.
