If you had asked me 10 years ago if I would pay £96 to –
physically go to a venue to –
watch a group of completely computer-generated singers surrounded by hundreds of people –
cheering, clapping and singing along with the band…
I would have laughed in your face.
If you had asked me just 2 years ago, I would have simply said that “Black Mirror” is not my thing.
Well, that’s precisely what I did a few weeks ago at the Abba Voyage concert.
IMHO the concert wasn’t perfect (examples include sound syncing and lack of reaction to the live audience) and still – I was very impressed by the high level of execution. I can imagine how it will be a x1000 better in five years.
And that’s the interesting part – imagining how the entertainment industry changes with tech in the real world as we just talk about on LinkedIn, how it’s perceived by the audience (with so much love FYI) and how businesses use tech to reinvent themselves and grow with emerging technologies.
