I’ve been telling businesses for years that they underestimate Facebook – the largest social media platform in the world with over 3 billion MAUs (Monthly Active Users).
Well, I might need to change my pitch soon.
Instagram just joined the staggering, exclusive 3 billion MAUs club, as announced by the company last week.
For context: the last time Meta reported Facebook users was February 2024, with 3.065 billion MAUs and 2.11 billion DAUs (Daily Active Users). Since then, they’ve only reported DAUs across their ecosystem – Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. As of July 2025, it reached 3.48 billion DAUs (or DAP — Daily Active People, as they call it).
